Buildings are more insulated and airtight than ever. This is great for boosting energy efficiency but can cause very poor ventilation. Natural ventilation methods such as windows and fans can lead to major heat loss and reduce energy efficiency. Poor indoor air quality can negatively affect health, but with our MVHR solutions we can help solve this problem for you.

Why Choose Complete Connectrix Ltd?

Mechanical ventilation heat recovery systems

MVHR systems are also known as a domestic heat exchanger or heat recovery ventilation system. It’s function is to extract polluted air from a building and constantly inject fresh air. In addition, an MVHR system will use the heat from the extracted air to warm the air intake from outside which helps to reduce waste. Due to this, MVHR systems can help recover up to 90% of a building heat which makes it one of the most energy efficient renewable systems on the market today.

MVHR systems work in just 3 simple steps:

  • Extracts stale and polluted air.
  • Recovers heat from the extracted air to warm or cool incoming air from outside via a heat exchanger.
  • Supplies the warm or cool filtered air to living areas/workspaces.

Most of the time MVHR systems are installed onto an external wall and connected to a duct system.

What are the benefits of installing a new MVHR system?

  1. Help maintain a constant temperature inside in either cold or hot weather.
  2. Deliver constant and fresh filtered air that will improve indoor air quality.
  3. Increase energy efficiency compared to natural ventilation methods (e.g. windows and fans).
  4. Reduces CO2 and helps reduce your carbon footprint.
  5. Helps prevent bad odours and smells.
  6. Helps reduce excess moisture which reduces the risk of damp and mould.

Our MVHR installation service explained:

  1. Initial consultation – our team will arrange and attend a site visit to assess the building layout, heating system, ventilation and insulation. Our team will ensure we totally understand your energy and ventilation requirements.
  2. MVHR system selection – based on the information gathered in the initial consultation, our team will recommend the best MVHR system that consider your property, requirements and budget.
  3. MVHR installation – our MVHR engineers will carry out the installation with minimal disruption.
